The CIA has determined that Russia hacked into both the Democratic and Republican email servers but only released emails from the Democrats with the intention of helping Donald Trump win the White House.
The Washington Post reported late Friday that a secret CIA analysis found that the Russian government’s hacking of Democratic Party emails this year was a deliberate effort to damage Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and boost Trump’s chances of becoming US President.
Donald Trump said this is “ridiculous”, apparantly he knows more than all of the CIA.
Trump also does not bother himself with daily intelligence briefings.
In an interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News, Trump defended his decision to skip some of his daily intelligence briefings, saying he gets them “when I need it” and complaining they are repetitive.
I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years,

A former senior intelligence official tells NBC News that,
It is curious that someone who refuses to take intelligence briefings has decided that he does not agree with the analysis contained in them.

From the Los Angeles Times,

Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Armed Services Committee ranking member Jack Reed (D-R.I.). “Democrats and Republicans must work together, and across the jurisdictional lines of the Congress, to examine these recent incidents thoroughly and devise comprehensive solutions to deter and defend against further cyberattacks.
Remember what Trump said during the campaign about the serious problems the US faces,
I am the only one that can fix it.
